A sustained commitment to quality translation
QUALITY
You can expect the highest quality job from Andiamo! as you’re using a company qualified to ISO 9001:2008 and BS EN 15038:2006 standards, guaranteed by our ‘Tick and Crown’ logos.
PROCESS
Your job will be managed by a dedicated Project Controller who is also a graduate linguist.
Having discussed your precise requirement with you, s/he will select a Translator, Interpreter or Voice-over artiste best suited to deal with your particular job.
All our Translators, Interpreters and Voice-over artistes have been individually approved by us because of their:
• educational qualifications
• expertise in your field
• experience
They will be mother-tongue speakers of the language into which we are working for you.
Your job will be checked for accuracy before being returned to you.
You may also request a revision (proofreading) of your job as an extra service.
REFERRALS
The quality of our work – in particular its reliability and consistency – is a constant source of satisfaction for our existing clients. It also continues to be a useful source of new business for us, thanks to the growing number of referrals from our clients.
Andiamo! uses TMS to ensure the consistent quality of your translation: it is NOT a machine translation, but a memory which stores segments of documents and their corresponding translations for further use or reference, thus ensuring consistency of terminology and style.
CONFIDENTIALITY
Your work is safe with us: all of our in-house associates as well as our suppliers have to sign a confidentiality agreement before handling an assignment.
TIMESCALES AND BUDGETS
You won’t receive any nasty surprises: your timescales and rates for your project will be discussed with you and your Project Controller will confirm all details in writing to you.
Any changes on your side or ours will be agreed during the course of the assignment.
AFFILIATIONS
ANDIAMO! is a Corporate member of the Association of Translation Companies and the Institute of Translating and Interpreting. Most of our Project Controllers are also individual members of the Chartered Institute of Linguists.
THE TICK AND CROWN – FOR CONFIDENCE IN TRANSLATION SERVICES
Where on earth do you begin to buy something as important as translation services which could mean ‘curtains’ for your business on the global stage if you get it wrong?
The question is easier to answer if you refer to companies working to quality standards such
ISO 9001:2008 and the only international translation standard
EN 15038:2006
For the client, this means they are dealing with a business which:
- Takes itself seriously (you have to, in order to jump through all the hoops set out by the independent certifying bodies!).
- Has established quality systems to improve their business.
- Operates efficiently.
- Is more likely to satisfy and retain its clients (and staff!).
- Is interested in promoting international trade and reducing wastefulness.
- Is constantly monitoring and auditing the quality and success of its service.
BS EN 15038:2006
In 2006 the European Committee for Standardization introduced
EN 15038:2006 – the first and only Europe-wide standard for translation service providers to ‘establish and define the requirements for the provision of a quality translation service’. How does it do this?
- By asking how good are its translators and all the people and processes which are used in the provision of translation.
- By defining what’s needed for a satisfactory client-supplier relationship.
- By insisting on certain procedures in the translation process and its management.
QUALIFYING FOR INTERNATIONAL STANDARDS
If you’re a translation provider, you can simply buy a copy of the Standards, shell out several pounds, tick the boxes and tell the world you match the criteria of the two standards.
Or – like Andiamo! – have yourself properly certified to prove your quality – this is how you operate. Which is where the ‘Tick and Crown’ come in.
The
UKAS site links will take you to the Certification Bodies where you’ll find
Bureau Veritas, which put Andiamo! through all the hoops and sent us out the other side with flying colours.
Andiamo! did tick all the boxes (you won’t find many translation companies in the UK that do). To prove it, simply look for the ‘Tick’ (in our case awarded by
Bureau Veritas) and the ‘Crown’ (the UKAS seal of approval).
For us and for you it’s the proof that we care about quality.
