Industry Group for Responsible Gambling

Andiamo! has translated a range of promotional material, into a number of languages, amending original artwork files with the correct fonts and text. We were pleased with the way each project was handled, both in regard to accuracy and the speed with which the work was completed.

Andiamo! really understood what I was trying to achieve. They don’t just deliver a job, they write intelligently and on brief. The translated and typeset Chinese artwork supplied was a breeze to slot into my document, which made the process very painless. Thank you!

We have worked with Andiamo! for several years on the translation and typesetting of our gas detector brochures into multiple languages and the end result is always of excellent quality.

We have used Andiamo! to typeset two reports and have found them to be very professional, helpful and quick. They provided excellent attention to detail and we were extremely pleased with the quality of work we received back. The communication we received from staff throughout the process was friendly and efficient. We will definitely use them again for any typesetting needs.

What is foreign language typesetting?

Foreign language typesetting is the process of laying out foreign text and scripts on the printed page or on the screen.

There are many different rules and guidelines to follow when it comes to typesetting a foreign language. For instance:

  • in Japanese it’s important to make sure certain words aren’t split between lines
  • page layouts in Arabic have to be ‘flipped’ to ensure they can be read correctly
  • text translated into Russian expands by up to 25%, so often needs to be reformatted to ensure it doesn’t look squashed
