How we ease your typesetting challenges
At Andiamo, we’ve optimised our typesetting services to ease the common challenges these projects can pose to organisations like yours.
- Typesetting non-Latin languages such as Japanese or Korean – An understanding of these languages is required to ensure a high-quality, accurate and readable final document. At Andiamo, we use only native-speaking, sector specialist translators and our typesetting team are experienced in typesetting a huge range of languages, including non-Latin languages.
- Understanding how right to left languages impact layout – Our team works with you to explain the options available, and the right approach for your unique project. This usually includes flipping the layout and reworking the translation files so they read correctly from right to left.
- Handling your own typesetting – We don’t recommend you attempt to typeset your own translations, for a few reasons.1. Formatting may need to change, or the translations adapted, to ensure the translated content displays well, with many EU language translations being 30% longer than UK source language text.2. It’s essential that languages such as Arabic are aligned correctly to be legible, and that appropriate fonts are selected for non-Latin scripts and that contain additional accented characters.
Our typesetting services are deployed by our skilled and experienced in-house linguists who have the required understanding to ensure accuracy and quality, and prevent errors from creeping in after the translation QA checks.
All typesetting projects include a post-DTP service checking process, to produce a high-quality, highly-readable final document/content piece.
